Challenge

Lukas, CEO of the innovative SaaS startup, Gyde (formerly Leadery), started out by successfully winning his clients through his personal network,  family and friends. Gyde is a startup that specializes in digital learning journeys that encourage employees’ personal development.

Initially, building revenue from their existing network worked well.  But increasingly Gyde faced challenges in scaling their business.

Despite having a great product and a committed team, they lacked strategic connections and a robust online presence on LinkedIn, which stymied business development. Lukas was initially skeptical about outsourcing LinkedIn activities, fearing a loss of personal control over his professional image, and a fear it might all be in vain.

Solution

We partnered with Lukas and set about developing a tailored LinkedIn strategy specifically designed to meet his needs.

Lukas and Gyde’s target buyer is HR decision-makers. To effectively connect with them, we crafted a unique communication strategy pulling from our deep understanding of this audience. We enhanced his LinkedIn profile to improve his visibility and professional appeal, taking special care with his ‘About’ section to help demonstrate how he and Gyde could solve HR professionals’ specific pain points, leading to prospects feeling valued and understood.

We carefully curated Lukas’s ‘Experience’  and ‘Tagline’ sections to emphasise the key competencies that would resonate with his and his company’s customers’ pain points, further demonstrating his ability to solve their problems. Each piece of specific messaging was A/B tested, ensuring we could continuously make improvements that would resonate more and more clearly with the core audience. 

Our next job was to strategically connect with key decision-makers in the relevant market segment, and managing initial communication to spark interest and establish valuable business relationships. Again, we started with a comprehensive A/B testing methodology which helped to hone our messaging accurately to the specific pain points of the target group, as well as their particular values and style of communication. Taking over the ongoing communications allowed the client to focus entirely on his core business, significantly reducing his workload.

Results

Collaboration with Lukas and Gyde yielded concrete results. The client’s LinkedIn contacts increased from 882 to a community of over 12,000 relevant buyers. 

Over the whole Partnership (2.5+ years), we booked an average of over 13 meetings per month with relevant decision makers for Gyde. Working with Lukas and Gyde for such a long time is testament to the trust between the two parties, and demonstrates the value of the relationship—particularly as there is no minimum-length contract in place.

This increased visibility and expanded network played a crucial role in achieving Series A funding. The startup demonstrated that with our LinkedIn strategy, it could efficiently convert cold contacts into significant business deals, and raise capital.
