The challenge

node.energy, a software company based in Frankfurt, is accelerating the energy transition by helping operators and consumers in the industrial and commercial sectors optimize their administrative energy processes and access affordable electricity through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Despite their strong market positioning, the team faced a clear challenge: they lacked the internal resources to proactively and effectively reach potential customers via LinkedIn.
The sales team was already fully occupied with existing responsibilities and couldn’t take on the additional task of reaching out to decision-makers. At the same time, it was clear that building personal connections would be key to selling their complex solutions.
Dr. Simon Reiser, Head of Marketing, was looking for a way to leverage LinkedIn as a professional channel to directly reach the right contacts – without disrupting the team’s daily operations.

The solution

We started our collaboration with node.energy with a comprehensive target group analysis to understand the company's core persona in detail. We broke down the target group into sub-target groups and identified the one with the highest conversion probability. This precise segmentation formed the basis for our outreach strategy, which was clearly different from node.energy's other channels.

In the next step, we optimised the managing director's LinkedIn profile to make it even more attractive and relevant for the target group. The tagline, the info section and the banner photo were adapted to directly address the target group's pain points and immediately position node.energy as THE partner in the energy transition. Based on this, we developed a customised communication strategy. Our focus was on filling the funnel with the best sub-target group, which led to a significantly higher conversion rate compared to other channels. Through our granular segmentation and continuous A/B testing, we were able to target decision-makers with a very high accuracy of fit. We took over the complete communication to keep the node.energy team's backs free.

The results

In just three months, node.energy was able to make significant progress thanks to our collaboration. We generated a large number of qualified appointments with decision-makers who were a perfect fit for the company's target group. The first deals are already emerging from these discussions, although the sales cycles at node.energy are longer due to the complexity of the product. One positive side effect was the increased visibility of the managing director profile: It gained significantly more followers and interactions on organic posts, which further strengthened node.energy's brand presence.
